Like ignoring children, not giving them any guidance/discipline at all, and not trimming a boy's hair when it is in his face to the point his face becomes like a stage and his hair is two curtains. Sorry! Totally sound like a weirdo, obviously these are specific real-life examples. I know this boy that has to hold his hair apart to see constantly- like trim or give him a rubber band. But, it is sort of hard to not side eye in a situation where I would literally be able to get on the train if it wasn't for a stroller. But those moments are far and few in between. I avoid rush hour as much as humanly possible but did end up taking her on the T during rush hour for a doctors appt (but she was tiny and I had her in the moby). Before I became a mother myself I was quite judge-y towards parents of my students for how they were or weren't doing things. But now, I understand that its hard! I mean honestly the same things that bothered me before having a kid bother me now. I still don't get letting your kid scream in public while you ignore them (if you're trying to calm them, you're taking them out, or you're somewhere like a doctor's office or a grocery store and are clearly just trying to get your necessaries done and GTF out of dodge, excepted, of course).
