I had to stop my milk supply and it was tough. I did:

Cabbage leaves stuffed in my nursing bra
Sage tea. You get dry rubbed sage in the spice aisle and steep your own tea. I would make mine with honey and it didn't taste bad

I can't remember exactly but I felt like within a week my supply was very very reduced.

If you don't have anything preventing you from taking something stronger I've heard Sudafed (from behind the pharmacy counter) also works great at drying up your supply

I did this, and I think it helped with engorgement. The cold of the leaves also felt really good. Change once they are too warm :)

I only bottle fed so I did this for a few nights when I got home. I had so many visitors and the leaves were clunky under my clothes that I didnt feel comfortable doing it during the day. I also got a Sams Club size box of peppermint patties and didnt let my chest hit the hot water of the shower (as best as possible).

No idea if these things worked but the engorgement seemed to go away quickly.

I did it when I was engorged, not weaning. It worked. :) Pick an appropriate sized cabbage leaf. :)

Has anyone used cabbage leaves to help dry out when weaning from breastfeeding? Any tips to suggest? I'm ready to be done done done.
