I had already done the blood work and our chance for downs was very small. My doc didn't seem concerned at all. Our OB was great about minimizing it but we still opted to have the blood test and I'm really glad we did. It can sometimes be a marker for down syndrome so it increased our chances of Down's from 1:10,000 to 1:2,500. Sometimes the deposit goes away later in the pregnancy and there's nothing to worry about.</p> <p>We had a follow up appointment today, and baby girl's heart (and the rest of her body) look totally normal! So glad! </p>
