I strongly suggest you try CJ's butter cream. I'm not sure if you are familiar with this store, but Kissed by the Moon has free shipping and sales a lot of sample sizes for $1.50 (I think) so you can try a lot of different favors. And she has really fast shipping!

@artbee: I use coconut oil on DD's bum after most diaper changes, and she has yet to experience any diaper rash whatsoever. I just use regular coconut oil that I bought at the grocery store in a jar. I can't swear that the oil is actually preventing diaper rash... it could just be that DD isn't prone to getting diaper rash in the first place. But for me it was worth a try, and it seems to be working!

Also, now her bum always smells like a tropical drink :-)

@Mrs. Stroller: I've also been using a different cream with disposables, but all day long and it seems like such a waste. I bought cloth diapers and I want to use them! But you just did it overnight and used cloth in the day time?

@Mrsbells: That's what I hear. The store didn't have it.... guess I'll be ordering it online.

@pelikila: Thanks for responding! I'll have to order something else, I don't want to deal with stripping them. I have too much going on right now to worry about that too. Especially if it doesn't work. LO does wear liners to catch the poo, but I don't want to chance it.

I've tried it and it didn't work. I used a paper liner at the time. What has worked for us is using a disposable with heavy-duty triple paste cream overnight.

Yes we tried it. We had to strip our diapers when we used it. It didn't ruin them but it was a real pain both times. I don't know that liners would have prevented the need to strip. Also, the California Baby diaper rash cream didn't seem to do a darn thing to help my son's rash. We switched to EMAB and have never had a problem with it.

I'm reading mixed reviews online. Some sites say it's ok, and some sites say only use the kind in the jar, which isn't specifically for diaper rash. I've been using that and it isn't working, and I already have a tube of the diaper rash cream, but I don't want to ruin her diapers. Anyone here have experience with it?
