Following! We are also leaving for Disney in two weeks with a 4yo and 7 month old. I'm hoping the 7 month old will nap in the ergo, but we don't baby wear too often so who knows. Between that and the stroller, I really hope to get some good naps out of him. We'll see!

Do you have an ERGO or something like that? Honestly the kids are usually so exhausted they are ready to pass out. We had better luck putting them in the ergo and then transferring.

@ChitownRo: I'm hoping the naps are a non issue for us too! fingers crossed.. I did toy with the idea of bringing our bigger stroller BUT it's a single and DD would have to like hang on it when she gets tired bc there is no seat for her...

I'm pretty sure we'll just bring the double umbrella stroller and "hope" ds will doze off in it.

I could never find the baby centers. Or specifically, they were near the front of the park and we were in the back when we would've needed them. My LO was 21 months and is an absolute horrible sleeper. He fell asleep on several rides (it's a small world, spaceship earth, and the safari). I transferred him into a carrier and he stayed sleeping through several shows (fantasia and country bears in MK and lion king in AK). He took 2 hour naps each day in the park.

We went to Disney when my DS was just about 3 and DD was 10 months, also on 2 naps per day. I brought our real stroller, put a white noise app on a phone, and just used a light Muslim blanket help make extra shade. She took 2 naps without issue- I was so worried about napping and then it was a non issue. Good luck!

So not WDW but we’ve taken our kiddos to Disneyland a ton and usually nap them in a carrier or the stroller and it works great. We bring a light swaddle to cover the seat and just traverse over the lands to get a nap in. And when they fight it, it just goes late and they they pass out. And I’m talking about from 5 weeks to almost 5 years old.

I haven't used the baby centres but wanted to chime in that there are lots of quiet/shaded areas where you can sit back and relax for a bit. My favourites are:

MK: Train station, Hall of Presidents waiting area, rocking chairs (there are some under covered porches in liberty square and town square) and the indoor charging area in Tomorrowland

Epcot: Lots of quiet places around world showcase - I really like the koi pond area in Japan, gardens in UK and waterfall in Canada. Innoventions is largely a ghost town so it's nice, quiet and air conditioned.

AK: any of the trails would be quiet and many have benches that you can sit off to the side and rest. The Tree of Life has some nice quiet benches in shaded areas.

Hs: This one is tougher... One Man's Dream is relatively quiet, cool and dark

Have fun!! I think you'll find they will be so exhausted that they will sleep anywhere. We are going in March and doing a split stay at AKl/ Beach Club. I can't wait for my Dds to see AKL!!

In magic kingdom there is a nursing room that is dark and quiet with big comfy recliners. If you were going to be rocking him I don't see why you couldn't use it (not sure if you are nursing) It's got 6 chairs. I've never had to wait for a seat.

Edited to add - it's within the child Care center. And I'm pretty sure all of the parks have nursing rooms but I'm blanking on what Epcot's was like. Might have been private little rooms?

Hi @ajsmommy! We were just at Disney a month ago with my two year old. We only used the baby care centers at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom - we didn't go to Hollywood Studios this trip and didn't make it to the Epcot baby care center.

The MK one is not super large and would not have been a great quiet place for getting a baby to nap, but it was definitely a little more low key if you need a less stimulating place. They have a small sitting area when you first go in (small couch), then a few small rooms: a room with about 6 different large changing pads, trash cans, and a sink (great place to change diapers); a slightly larger "sitting room" with some rocking chairs, regular chairs, table, and a TV (it was tuned to a Disney movie or something but it wasn't super loud), and then a small kitchen where you can buy baby food, formula, diapers, microwave, etc. When we went there were a pretty good number of people there, but it was about 1pm. I think earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon, it would be less crowded. If so, you could use a rocking chair. Worth a try. FYI: It is located right next to the Crystal Palace restaurant at the end of Main Street, right next to first aid.

The AK baby center was a bit smaller but newer and less crowded (it is kind of out of the way and hard to find). There was only one other family there. Same set up of small rooms, I think they had a few small toys and stuff for toddlers. It would have been a better place to get a baby to sleep. But the lights aren't turned down or anything, don't know if that is a problem. It is located right next to the Starbucks just before you go over the bridge into Africa.

The Hollywood Studios center is right at the park entrance. The Epcot one is next to the Odyssey building, on the walkway between Test Track and World Showcase/leading to Mexico pavilion.

Edited to add: we also kept our schedule so we'd be back at the hotel by 6-6:30pm to put the 2yo to bed early and it is TOTALLY the right decision. He had fun but he was so tired and over-stimulated. Pushing bedtime would have been a disaster.

We live 3 hours from Disney and we're Florida residents - used to go all the time, less frequently now that we have a 2yo and new baby on the way.

So we're two weeks out from our week vacation at disney and I'm kinda freakin myself out.

We have a 4 yo who doesn't usually nap and an 11 month old who is doing two naps a day.

Bedtime is early for both. 6-630 for the 11 month old and 730 for the 4 yo

I scheduled everything so that we can adhere to bed times on most nights or we'll be pretty close to normal.

I decided NOT to plan to return to our resort during the day to get naps for the 11 month old. For a few reasons...we are staying at AKL and it just didn't seem conducive if we plan to keep bedtime early.

I'm hopeful that ds will nap at the park...either in stroller or in carrier. However, if he can't bc it's too loud I was thinking of using the care centers to get him in quiet...to rock him and feed him and hopefully get him to fall asleep.

Anyone have any insight on the care centers? Are they nice or over crowded? Are the conducive to getting a baby to nap?
