I would go to the eye doctor (ophthalmologist) asap. I don't mess with my eye health. Has it been windy there? Could you have gotten a speck of dirt embedded in your cornea? I've had that a few times and the optometrist has usually been able to get it out without trouble. I did have to go to the eye hospital one time but I can't remember exactly why. Woke up this morning - same thing. As the day is progressing, it's getting redder and redder and itchier and itchier. If I rub it (which I'm trying VERY hard not to do, and washing my hands immediately afterwards), it feels like ground glass or sand is in there. </p> <p>My coworker thinks I have pink eye. D has been out of daycare all week with bronchitis, so he hasn't been exposed. I haven't been around anyone with it. But I do work in a hospital, so I suppose anything is possible. </p> <p>So what do I do? Call my doctor? Call my eye doctor? Wait it out? </p>
