So glad he is here safe and sound and that you are getting all the care you need to become healthy to 100% !
I know preclampsia is hard and is a scary thing to go through as I've been through it twice.
Know that with the great care you are getting you should be just fine and that you are in my thoughts and prayers!!

Monday (January 23rd) I went into my doctor's appointment expecting them to do the usual weight, blood pressure, heartbeat check. They did all of the above then told me I gained 9 pounds in one week, and my blood pressure was 140/90. They also said there was proteins in my urine, and told me I was hospital bound and they may or may not induce.

I spent most of Monday doing urine tests, blood tests and ultrasounds. They decided that I had preeclampsia and I was to be induced that night at 36 weeks, 5 days. They put in a foley catheter, and left it in over night and said they'd check me the next morning.

They checked me around noon the next day and I was about 4cm but I wasn't effaced at all. They took the catheter out and they decided they'd put the tiniest hole in to break my water, and hopefully Cameron would drop but the cord would stay above his head. Around 2, I started getting contractions. They were intence as could be and about two minutes apart. At that point I decided crying through them was not worth it, and as much as I was against it, I was getting an epidural.

The epi got put in around 3:30, and at 4 they checked me again. Cameron had dropped, the cord wasn't anywhere outting him in danger, and I was mostly effaced. They said I'd probably deliver between 10PM and midnight. I was hoping for after midnight even by just a minute because I wanted an odd birthday baby (my husband and I are both odd numbers, and so is our wedding date).

About 5PM I started complaining I could feel my contractions again, and it wasn't just pressure, it was pain as well. Around 5:30 they decided to put in the catheter for my bladder. No sooner did they do that than the nurse said she could see a full head of hair. Uhm, WHAT?! They checked me and I was fully dilated and fully effaced. Cue doctors.

The doctors came in and Cameron was out in 21 minutes, born at 5:58PM weighing 5lbs, 5.7oz. He was 18 and a quarter inches long.

Sadly that's not the end. While Cameron is completely healthy, I ended up returning to the hospital on Sunday witha migraine and spotted vision. My preeclampsia had worsened enough that I had a CT scan, and they had been taking blood every 6 hours. I was forced onto bed rest, and being given magnesium sulfate to the point where I was right out of it. My blood pressure is now stabilized, but I'm still waiting on a MRI and results from it, so I'm still in the hospital.

Cameron is with my mom during the day and my husband at night until I'm released, which I'm hoping is soon. It really sucks to be seperated from your newborn, and to feel this helpless. But he's here, he's home and he's healthy! That's what matters.
