I gave the instructor a $20 Dunkin gift card with a nice note. With that many staff members I’d respond back and ask if tips are pooled if they are maybe $50 total? We did one week sessions. She was always thrilled when she got a little thank you gift of some kind, ones I remember her mentioning: $5-10 Dunkin or Starbucks gift card, small amazon gift card $5-15, and candy or snacks if they knew her favorites. I don't think they were allowed to accept straight cash. So nothing major, and she never expected it or felt upset if people didn't give anything. This week is his last.<br /> We got an email saying something about tips for the counselors. Explicitly said it was optional and not expected but clearly if an email went out, it’s kinda expected right??</p> <p>I’m not totally opposed but don’t have any clue what to do.<br /> There’s a head counselor and like 3 counselors then 2-3 junior counselors. So in total 7 counselors. They are all young. Like high school to college aged. </p> <p>Do you give a counselor tip? How much? Cash or another kind of gift? </p>
