We've camped twice with my toddler, she loves it!

-bring a fan for the tent. Even if its supposed to be cool at night it can be hot during the day for naps.
-pack in zip locks that are labeled so it's easy to find things, especially in the dark.
-I like to over pack. I bring things for any and all types of weather because you just never know.
-we bring an audio monitor so we can sit by the fire while lo sleeps.

The first time we took DD tent camping, she was about 13 months. Things I learned from that trip: pick a shady camping spot away from entrances/exits, bathrooms or showers, bring a portable white noise machine to block the noise from other campers, and bring a shade or canopy for covered outdoor space (outside of the tent, which can get really hot during the daytime). We plan on camping for the first time with both kids this summer (DD will be over 3 and DS will be around 17 months). I'm so excited about it!

Subscribing! I've read a few articles (wanted to take C camping last summer when she was only 2 months old, but decided against it).

@BabyBoecksMom: Are you going to camp at San Onofre or South Carlsbad?

We're going on week-long vacation. Half of the time we're going to be tent camping, the other half we're going to be in a hotel (and going to Sea World!). I was wondering if there's any tips out there for surviving the camping w/ a toddler.
