@Coco Bee: There will be 12 kids camping with us..... so I'm not too worried. If LO acts up, at least she won't be the only one!

We took LO camping when she was 3 months, but we camped in cabins. There was another baby there her age there and they were in tents though. I think it just depends on the baby and the weather. At three months I'm glad we had a cabin because LO had reflux so she cried a lot and we would have drove our neighbors crazy. At 6 months LO was sleeping 12 hours each night so I think we would have been fine in a tent.

We're going in a month, LO will be 15 months and I still do worry about the weather. She'll sleep in the pack n play, and one of the mom's has an extra pack n play that she'll bring for all the babies to play in during the day (although I don't picture my LO ever wanting to be in there).

We've taken our LO at 9 months and recently taken both our kids at 11 months and almost 3 years. Both times we only went for 1 overnight. The kids had fun. We brought the travel crib and our car camping setup - a larger family tent and our air bed. Posh, I know. So the kids slept with us on the air mattress. The younger one hung out in the travel crib during the day sometimes and just crawled around at the campsite other times.

@mrs. bird: eh I'm really laid back! I also love camping but haven't done it in years. Cobi showers with me a lot anyway so I'm not worried about that. I suppose his sleep is biggest concern. I would let him sleep with me, but I dunno how he'd do and I worry about him being in a sleeping bag with me lol!

We don't have our own LO yet, but we've gone camping with friends that have brought their LOs. Honestly, it's probably easier now than it is once he's mobile!

They brought a pack'n play, but the babies slept w/ parents to be warmer. But the pnp was helpful as a place for changing & playing. They also brought a stroller & exersaucer, mostly the babies got passed around but it was awesome to have somewhere to stick 'em while we did things. They showered w/ parents or just got stuck in a bucket (the one we washed dishes in) to bathe. Really, if you can let go & just enjoy the experience, it's awesome, but I can see how it would be stressful if dirt or breaking routine isn't your thing.

We got invited to go camping with some of our friends, two of the couples are pregnant but none have babies yet. We would be bringing out 6.5 mos old.

Have you ever camped with a baby? What was it like? Did you bring a pack n play or how did baby sleep? Anything else?

I am just trying to think if it'd be feasible to go. Am I crazy for even considering it?
