So far we've only done cabin camping at 3 months.... which was great because it ended up pouring the entire time. Everyone we were with (about 20 people) crammed into our tiny cabin during the day and then they ended up getting hotels at night. We were supposed to go tent camping a few months ago, but it was too hot so we opted out.

We're going tent camping in October, LO will be 15 months, and then we'll probably go again in March. I'm hoping the weather is nice for us!

@Honeybee: We tent camped as well. It gets very cool at night where we are so we were more worried about them getting cold. She missed her afternoon nap from the commute to the site so perhaps she was over tired and had trouble at night.

We tried with DD when she was about 13 months, and it didn't go so well. We were tent camping and it was so hot during the days (100+ degrees), she couldn't nap and got very cranky. We've talked about going again, but I think we'll try trailer camping next time, just so we have more flexibility.

We went camping for the first time as a family of 4. Our son is almost 3 yo and daughter is almost 1. We took our son camping when he was around 9-10 months old and he did really well. So we thought we'd give it a try again now with two kids. It was a lot more work with two. Luckily, we went with another family so we had extra hands. Our daughter woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep so I didn't sleep very much either. Our son had fun though, we hung out by the lake and fished a little. I look back at the pictures and have almost forgotten about the sleepless night. I'm sure we'll try it again at some point.

Have you gone camping with your LOs?
