@AmeliaBedilia: Have you talked to your RE about this? Do they have any suggestions? I know how you feel about missing out on a cycle. I remember how tough it was when we decided to take a break from TTC after our first IUI. Though, my reasons were different since DH and I were fighting and wanted to work on our marriage before proceeding with more treatments.
When I was on Femera, it actually shortened my cycle.
I do agree with @erinbaderin: that maybe you should take this month to not think about TTC and enjoy yourself on this work trip. I know it's probably not what you wanted to hear. Sorry.

But randomly thinking, you could find a nearby clinic to do your IUI with DH's frozen sperm. Though, it will cost you to do it at another clinic and to have your DH freeze and sample shipped to the new clinic... But at the same time, you might be stressed trying to make this all work and what happens if you aren't ready for your IUI on your last day of your work trip and have to pay to discard the sperm sample or shipped back to your RE. Cryopreservation cost us $400 out of pocket each time we froze. At this point, it might be cheaper to have DH fly out with you if he can.
Yeah, my idea sounds very complicated though and maybe more stress and money than it's worth.

@AmeliaBedilia: to can't guarantee that it will work but you can try taking B Complex. It's meant to start taking after you O to help lengthen your luteal phase but i started it a week or so before my scheduled O and it pushed it back by a couple days. That was before I realized that it was supposed to be taken later  Again, can't guarantee but if you read up on it online, it can be known to make ovulation later than usual. I'm so sorry for your struggles lady, hope you guys get your bfp soon  :goodluck:

I know how you feel - I spent 5 years trying to get pregnant and felt like I could never take a month off because I kept thinking "What if this is the month?" That being said, I think that if you're already having issues, messing with your body isn't a good idea. I would recommend (and I know it's easier for me to say than you to do) just taking a month off. It might be nice to get off the fertility rollercoaster for a month, not have to spend the 2WW thinking about being pregnant, and just enjoy your trip.

We have been trying for 2 years, and recently figured out a few issues which have been making conception difficult. I'm currently 12DPO after IUI#2 and don't think I'm pregnant. I have a five day work trip at the end of the month and DH is not able to come. Of course, I will likely ovulate the last day of my trip making it nearly impossible. This trip has been planned for almost two years, and I have to go. I'm trying to figure out a way to make my body ovulate later. I have migraines with birth control pills, so would prefer to avoid that. I've had anovulatory cycles after progesterone, but thinking my best bet would be to take progesterone for a few days, then do femara CD5-9. Any other ideas? I really don't want to sit out a month!
