@birdofafeather: That's horrible. I'm sorry for your experience l.

I don't know why doctors don't just shelve this method if ovulation can be pinpointed. Lazy science if you ask me.

@stiletto_mom: my cycles were also irregular (O'd on CD42 for DD1 and CD26 for DD2) and after a bad experience where my OB's office didn't listen to me about my long cycles and said they thought i was possibly having a miscarriage since I showed like 5 weeks instead of 8 per LMP instead of O date, I gave my second OB a LMP based on my O date instead of the real one. My dating U/S for both babes were right on with my O dates, so I felt very confident in those. Only telling you this in case they say it looks like you're a week behind and be confident in your dates!

There's no way to know when conception was, so I'd go by ovulation. A few days difference isn't going to matter. Due dates are estimates not an exact science. You will likely have a dating scan and that's the date they will use anyways. Even when I told them I have long cycles, they still went by
lMP until I had my dating scan.

@stiletto_mom: it doesn't matter when you bd, it's the day you Od that counts. I'd go with FF.

@Grace: Thanks so much for the confirmation.

I'm just wavering in between conception on the 15th or the 17th.

My dip was 15th, but FF says 16th was O. But we BDed 15th and 17th, not on 16th.

You did it right. There are on-line calculators that will go off conception date and it gave me Oct 9 for you. Congratulations! If I were you, I would tell the OB that you have very irregular periods and push for a dating ultrasound.

@bluestriped bee: Ugh, that's frustrating.

No I don't need to know it now. But I like knowing things are accurate.

Do you need your due date right now? I believe your OB will take measurements and the ultrasounds should be able to tell you how far along you are and give you a due date.

ETA: oh, I did ask about lmp in this thread. It appears some dr only go by LMP. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/explain-to-me-why-they-go-off-lmp-when-determining-how-far-along-you-are#post-1745217

I did IVF so I know exactly when my twins were conceived but when I graduated from my RE, I was given a 'fake' or adjusted LMP to give to my OB.

Can someone take a look at my chart and see if I did this right?

I have irregular periods, but my luteal phase is usually 12 or 13 days. This last cycle, I was waking up late, but I always temped before getting out of bed. I was on vacation and I missed a day.

CD1 was Boxing Day (Dec. 26), but looking at my chart, I may have ovulated Jan 16th.

Does that mean conception date is Jan 17th?

January 29th, got bright pink spotting after dtd (implantation?). Strong BFP Feb 1.

If so, does that mean my due day is October 9th?
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/5972fd/?i=6681146&

I don't think I should plug Dec 26 as my LKMP into a due date calculator since I don't think I ovulate 10 - 14 days after cycle starts.

I just want to make sure I have the due date as accurate as I can. I JUST had my blood taken to confirm the pregnancy (although my HCGs at home were quite strong). Results won't be ready until Monday, and until then, I won't be able to book my first pre-natal appointment or ultrasound dating.

Thanks!
