@jennylynn: you'll only lose the milk that you would have pumped during that time. The rest of the sessions will still have the same milk.

@BabyBoecksMom: :) thanks!

I won't lose any of my supply if I don't pump the extra after she nurses? I just want to ensure I still have enough to satisfy her appetite in the mornings with nursing alone. When did you drop the before bed pump?

Omg, I love your avatar!

Congrats on making to a year! I only pumped before bed and I didn't pump in the morning if she nursed. If you want to drop a session, go for it. Your body will adjust to it.

LO is 10.5 months old now and I'd really like to start cutting down on some pump time, while still maintaining a good enough supply to continue breastfeeding. She usually has her last feeding for the night at 7p, and then her next feeding is at 7-7:30a. I've always done a pump before bed at around 10 to help keep my stash up, and then I usually pump right after her morning feed and get around an 1 oz or less per breast. I was wondering since we are pretty close to the one year mark, is it safe to drop the before bed pump and morning pump? I have a nice size freezer stash, but I'd like to keep my supply up so I can continue to breastfeed, and continue to pump enough when I'm at work. Thanks!
