We tried rice with our first at 6m. Super constipated. Switched to oatmeal with no issue. We skipped rice all together this time and started a bit of oatmeal at just before 5m because our giant baby was starving all of the time! My lo is formula fed but she still gets constipated from a lot of foods so I'm sure at five months she would have been constipated from that. It can upset their stomachs and cause constipation. She recommended oatmeal instead. Try oatmeal? Try fruit? Wait till 6 months? WWYD?</p> <p>BTW... he devoured it!! </p>
