However, I had a scare a while back when my LO had swollen nodes for a long period of time, and I was totally freaked out about it. It ended up being nothing to be concerned about, and I'm sure you don't have to worry either. I don't think they are supposed to be swollen for that length of time. There may even be some simple blood work that can help show if there is an underlying issue. I know that usually they are no big deal so I just waited until his 6 month well visit to ask the doctor about it. At the time she said we'll just keep an eye on it. At both his 9 and 12 month well visits she still thought it wasn't a problem since it's not getting bigger. </p> <p>A few days ago I felt another small node in the back of his head and just yesterday felt at least one, maybe 2 more, on the other side of his neck.</p> <p>He has no signs of infections or a cold but is teething like mad. Could this be the reason for the new swollen nodes? Should I make another appointment with his pediatrician or just wait until the next well visit (in 2 months.) </p>
