@Pink Champagne: she goes 8.5 hrs without eating at 17 weeks, which I think is normal? It's 7:30-4 which sucks, but if she's hungry I don't think sleep training will help.. Hope she can stretch it an hour or two soon!

No 4 month regression. We did get some disruption when teething kicked in (at 6 months) and when separation anxiety hit (at 8 months). We sleep trained at 10 months and now he sleeps.

I think if your baby can go all night without eating, sleep training is a wonderful, amazing thing. You're giving your child the skill of being able to put themself back to sleep on their own, which is a necessary skill.

For us it hit right around 4 months but she was a crap sleeper to begin with so it's hard to tell. But the worst of it lasted 3.5 months. She was waking every hour on the hour and only wanted me. We tried sleep training twice but it did not work for us.

At least at the of it we came out with a baby that sTTN for about 3 months!

We dodged the four month regression but are still dealing with the six month regression at almost eleven months!

I gave up expecting Miss A to STTN and life got much easier for us, I'm not in to sleep training and we occasionally get a solid 8-9 hour stretch of sleep so I'm hopeful that A wont be night waking forever :-)

14 weeks for us.... it lasted until 11.5months when we sleep trained! She had good and bad nights. The worst was 14-20 weeks when she woke up 3-6 times a night. Then she got on a schedule waking up twice a night, every night and screaming like a banshee! Horrible!

I think it was around 18-20 weeks and his sleep has never been the same since. :( He went from sleeping 8-10 hours to waking every couple of hours. We never sleep trained. He's 10.5 months and still wakes every 3ish hours.

@JoJoGirl: Good luck with the transition. LO was definitely ready but I was reluctant because I am a nut mainly, but things had been going so well and it was nice to be able to see her in the night. I know it was the right choice though, because she slept like a log the first night we put her in the crib so it must have been so much more comfortable and quieter for her.

I think it hit around 14 weeks for us? It's been kind of hit and miss, but progressively getting worse. But now we're in the trenches. LO is 21 weeks old and I am sleep training now.

@JerricaBenton: @sslm: Thanks to you both! We are going to try (again) to get her in the crib this weekend from the RnP so I'm sure sleep is about to go to shit, even if it wouldn't have otherwise.

It was around 16/17 weeks and lasted about 2 weeks, for night time sleep. Her naps went to crap around 14 weeks and are possibly getting better now, 5 weeks later. Not sure if that's related!!

Ours started at 3.5 mos and lasted just about 4 weeks. She went from sleeping 8-9 hrs through the night to up every 2 hrs. We didn't sleep train. I figured she was a great sleeper before and it would come back. Then one night she slept again like magic and gained an hour or 2 so now she sleeps 10-11 hrs. During the regression she started rolling both directions and gained a few pounds so I knew it was a spurt/wonder week thing. We also had a bit of a 6 month regression but our only intervention was switching her to her crib in her room from the p n'p in our room after a few weeks and she's STTN again since the night we switched. She also got up on hands and knees and rocked in that period so ot sure if it was that or that she needed more support/room/quiet of the crib and nursery.
