We very, very, very rarely eat out or get takeout. The only time we do is if DH and I are on a date, or if I am out all day with the kids and they are starving. We could probably go a year or more without takeout if we had to. I always cook! If so, we get a pizza maybe once or twice a month when I go there to shop and then I get one of those bagged salads that you have to mix together to go along with it. Costco is a bit of an ordeal and I haven't figured out how to time a trip there with all the unpacking after and not delay the subsequent meal by an unreasonable amount of time without this shortcut.</p> <p>I also keep some convenience-type meals from Trader Joe's in the freezer for the nights that there is something else going on, but they require some effort, even if it is minimal.</p> <p>Otherwise...I barely remember when we last ate out or got take-out. We have a decent variety of places close by plus Seamless Web, so there are options. </p>
