My dorm offered free first lessons so I convinced my parents to buy me a guitar... I think I tried 3 or 4 lessons before I realized it was too hard for me, even with 12 years of violin background. Not to mention that I wimp out once my fingers start hurting and am too vain to develop calluses! I would love either of my kids to play though. It's such a great instrument and skill.
