I can, but like you it means I wake up a few times to check the time! I also experience the phenomenon of waking up a minute before an alarm goes off-what's that about?!

I can't really set one on a day to day basis, but I tend to wake up right before my alarm goes off.

@mrbee: Yep! The one where Elaine has the olympic runner staying with her to run the NYC marathon. He was famous because he had missed the Olympic race because he overslept. So she was in charge with getting him to the race on time. But something happened (I think her power went out or something?) and so he went to Jerry's, and then somehow Jerry's alarm didn't work, but Kramer was supposed to be the back up because he has a "mental alarm" that he can set for any time. He didn't wake up either though and was like "Hmm… I must have hit the snooze." :)

You've been watching too much seinfeld :)

No way can I do this. I never have any sense of what time it is. Which is super apparent now that I'm pregnant and waking up multiple times/night. Sometimes I think it must be 6am and it's only 12:30. Other times I think it's 1am and it turns out it is 7!

nope! if I need to wake up extra early for a flight or an appointment or something, I will usually wake up several times before my alarm, but that's more out of anxiety/fear that my alarm won't go off than any internal clock

More or less, I can. My internal clock is set to wake up at 5:15, though, so most days, regardless of weekday or weekend, my eyes open!

I used to think that I could do this. But whenever I told myself I had to wake up by a certain time, then I just woke up every few hours in a mild panic and desperately checked the time. So now I either set an actual alarm, or depend on the kids to wake me up ha.

Can you set a mental alarm and wake up at that time?
