Or lately he likes to "read" to me or retell the story that he memorized. My DD has all of her favourite books memorized. I can't even skip a word or leave out a "he said" or "She said". DD is only 20 months old and so is kind of easy to trick on this. Usually she's the one who turns the page too quickly or skips, though...she's very picky about her books. Or at least skip a few sentences from longer books? My girls have so many books, the only ones they have memorized are the shorter ones, which I don't need to skip parts on. The longer books though, like the Disney storybooks are just too long so I skip sentences, and they don't notice. I probably won't be able to do that much longer, though! </p>
