Sometimes :( My oldest (3) will rock with me when she doesn't feel good, she's more of a cuddler than a rocker, so we curl up on the couch. My youngest (8 months) has decided she is too busy for rocking and doesn't sit still anymore. This breaks my heart.

Yup. DS is 2 and is a total cuddle bug. He'll come up to me cuddle or just wants to be near me. When I rock him and seeing him lullabies in my lap when he just wants to cuddle, he laughs.

We don't do it everyday, but I love it when he lets me rock him. He sometimes wants to rock and cuddle when he wakes up in the morning.

My 16 month stopped letting us rock him months ago!! Just lately, he wants to be rocked half the time when he has night wake-ups - made me realize that I miss it!

LO is 2, and it's part of his sleep routine. I stopped rocking LO1 around 18 months though. I miss it, even if he is 4.5 years old and probably too old to be rocked.

Part of our bedtime routine is to cuddle in our bed and sing a few songs. There's one he likes to sing that talks about rocking, and when he wants to sing that one he wants to climb in my lap, but otherwise I don't rock him unless he's sick.

Only to calm down during a meltdown (for K). M lets me do whatever I want haha, but likes bouncing over rocking.

They are 18 month twins and we rock/sing/read stories/nurse all together in a big chair before nap and bedtime, plus several times per night. 😴😴😴

Yes, she just turned 2 and we rock and sing for a little bit before every nap and bedtime. Usually just for one short song though. I try to relish it because who knows how long it will last. Though I have a friend who was rocked to sleep until she was 7 I think!

We sing songs in bed. If she wants to rock, I am in the glider and she sits in the rocking chair in her bed. She never wants to cuddle anymore unless on the couch watching tv.

I could if I wasn't 37 weeks pregnant with no actual lap! LO is 3 and sometimes when she's really hysterical at bed time because she's overtired, rocking and singing is the only thing that resets her and lets her fall asleep.

Yup! My 3.5 year old and I still rock before bed. I love it because it gives us a chance to talk and snuggle. But he loves his cuddles so I'm not surprised we still rock.

Yes! He's only 2.5, but I think he really likes it. Sometimes if he's upset it's one of the quick tricks I do to calm him down. I have a couple little songs that I save for those specific situations and I think he thinks, those are special songs just for him.

Yes! He's 3.5 and still loves being rocked. If he wakes up in the middle of the night, he still asks to be rocked. It's really sweet. He still asks for songs too, but he makes them silly by singing in weird (aka annoying) voices, making up words and gibberish. lol. He gets a kick out of it. It's more silly and less soothing to him now.

Last night I asked my lo if I could rock and sing to her. She allowed me to sing to her while she sat on my lap and read a book. Then she told me she was done with that and we should go to her bed. :/ She's 3.5 so I get it but still. I miss rocking my baby sometimes.
