I would get subtle, dull, one-sided pain that matched up timing-wise with ewcm and opks. Twice it was confirmed on ultrasound that I was right! Who knows if the other times were just guesses... but I liked being so in tune with my body. Before DD, I could always tell because I had excruciating pain during O. But after I had the endometriosis removed from my ovaries, I no longer had much pain.
