We have that for home and keep the lobster in our car. M's almost 18 months old and we still use both. Definitely worth it for us!

@mediagirl: you can use the lobster at home! It might get a bit messy and dirty when your Lo starts solids though..

Have you looked at the Graco Blossom? It can be used as a booster, so it might be worth spending a bit more...it's not hideous, but it's no masterpiece of design either!

eta: I also like having a separate tray, sometimes if we're taking a bit longer to eat our dinner, I squeeze some finger paint right on my son's tray and let him paint.

We love our Chicco hook on chair. The only complaint I have about it is that there is a small gap between the chair and the table and the seat is rather deep so you can't raise the back to push her closer to the table (aka she can lean back and let food drop on her lap). It is much messier than a normal chair.

I am looking at high chairs and really don't like the looks of the ones in the $100 range. I also don't want to spend $200+ on a high chair. So, would it be possible to just use a high chair like the Phil and Ted's Lobster for every day use? Or should we get a stand alone and deal with the ugly factor?
