I can watch some national news, especially BBC or Al Jazeera, but I have such a hard time with the local news. And there are times when the international stuff becomes too overwhelming, though I'm mostly still fascinated by it. I also with @bushelandapeck: that NPR is where I get most of my headlines. I agree it is quite depressing though. Sometimes there are nice stories though. Today I read one in the local paper about a man who passed away and donated $500,000 to the local children's home. They had no idea it was coming and Christmas was the perfect time for that. It was the same... murder, kidnap, etc. All not so comforting news considering that I just moved there. Before that, LOVED watching the news. Now that I'm in Asia, well, it's a whole different kind of news... some aunt put a ton of salt in her nieces formula killing her... :\ Not the shooting deaths that I'm used to hearing about before. I just can't. I used to follow our local news station on Facebook but had to cancel that. All I see anymore is death. Car accidents, fires, murders, what is the deal?! Was I just not paying attention before? I already have anxiety issues with worrying about something happening to jake, when I see the news it sets me in overdrive and makes me feel sick. </p> <p>Can you watch the news? Does it stress you out? Can I produce a bubble guppies news program for moms with anxiety? </p>
