Yes, we made the bottom pull out in one cabinet all kids stuff. We're gradually introducing the same concept with a pull out in our pantry with only her snacks. She can currently grab them but needs help opening - I plan to transition to snacks she can open her self in another few months. (She's 3 now...was 2.5 when we granted access to plates/bowls)

Yes we put them in a pull out drawer in the kitchen so that they can get them.

yes and that is why everything is plastic!

I really want to get rid of the plastic but not sure my 5yr old can handle glass!

They're up high now. I've been thinking about putting them lower so DD1 can help set the table.

Yes and no. Yes in that, if they're in the dishwasher (which we use as a drying rack), he can reach it. But if we put the dishes up, no because they're up in the cabinets that are eye level.

Currently our daughter can't reach her own supplies. We are updating our kitchen, though and we are getting drawers where bottom cabinets used to be. One of the drawers is going to be for her cups/plates/bowls. I can't wait!
