@artbee: We used the Mophie battery pack linked from here!

http://www.hellobee.com/2012/09/10/packing-checklist-for-flying-with-children/

It was amazing while we traveled... and the battery provided 10 hours or more of extra juice! That's on top of the usual hours an iPhone can get (around 4 or 5?).

@mrbee: We were just talking about what to do for white noise. Depending on the weather we might have a fan.... I don't think our phones will last the whole night! I wonder if there is a battery operated white noise machine out there.

@artbee: We use our iPhone White Noise apps when we're sleeping outside of our home! Works great, although you need a recharger for the next morning!

She does when we're on vacation, but it's a struggle for her. DH and I will play dead and just sit still. We're going camping in a couple of weeks and I'm kind of terrified.... camping is always pretty noisy!

@chopsuey119: When I tell Charlie I'm going to leave the room, he gets really serious and puts his head down on his pillow and says, "I be good, don't leave Daddy!"

I'm not sure... I've never tested it. He tosses and turns a lot before falling asleep and if he saw me he might get mad. lol

This morning though I let him sleep in our bed (first time in months) because it was the third or fourth (I lose track) time he woke up in the night... it was only an hour though and then he was awake.

Yep. She can. It takes her longer to fall asleep when I'm in bed with her though.
Usually I threaten to leave and she lies down and falls asleep shortly after. :)

Sometimes, but hardly ever. She just likes to visit. I don't try but Mr SH sometimes falls asleep while getting her settled for a nap.

Only if it's pitch black and he doesn't realize we're still there. This required some evasive action on my part during our last hotel stay. I hid in the bathroom for a little while and crawled into bed a few minutes later "Mission Impossible" style.

DH and I both regularly fall asleep with DD while we're puting her down, but we realized doing that means she wakes up,more often with nightmares. I think it's because she wakes up in the middle of the night scared that we left her. So now we're working on leaving her room before she falls asleep. In order to leave her room without her crying, the last three nights DH has told her he was stepping outside to make her an appointment with her doctor. For some reason she goes right to sleep after he tells her that and leaves the room. The only issue is that I worry we're encouraging her hypochondria.

Charlie used to be able to, but ever since we got back from the Philippines he struggles with it! He is just so excited to have me in the room that he talks to me the whole time...

It's super cute, but at the same time it makes bedtime harder. If I stay in the room, then he chats me up. If I leave though, sometimes he will beg me to come back. It's like a lose/lose! Usually I will come back in after a minute and he will quickly pass out then. Then I leave (if I'm still awake).
