Thanks all! I couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep sitting up but I did finally sleep. My doc says eating much smaller meals before bed may help and making sure to stay regular since its already crowded in there.

I get this feeling too! This baby is so much higher than my last one, I feel like she's resting on my air supply. I sleep with 3 pillows behind my head, one behind my back (to keep me from rolling over), and one cradling my stomach. I'm so propped up that I'm practically sitting but it's the only way to fall asleep. Once I'm asleep I must move down but I usually stay asleep.

Yup I also had to sleep semi upright in bed, propped up with cushions from about 34 weeks til when he dropped down. Trouble breathing and also extreme heartburn!

I had to sleep in our recliner until she dropped a little bit, which meant she got her head out of my ribs since she was breech. I couldn't breathe the night before our section because she was all up in my ribs!

My only advice would be to try sleeping while sitting up or on the couch.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant. Lately when I go to bed I find that I have a lot of trouble breathing as soon as I lay down. I lay on my left or right side, I propped a bunch of pillows under myself but nothing is helping. The lack of air makes me take in huge breaths that then fill me with more air. When I'm upright I don't have this problem but as soon as I'm down it feels like my lungs are bing crushed. Any suggestions? I'm losin a lot of sleep and feeling very uncomfortable. Thank you in advance.
