Zofran. That helped most of all. Other than that, I seriously just had to get up each day and see what I could think of that didn't make me automatically run for the bathroom. White carbs seemed to be fairly safe. Strangely, Chik-fil-a Chicken minis were also almost always safe.

I'm so sorry you're having it so rough. I had terrible morning sickness, and I wouldn't wish it on a soul. I hope yours doesn't stick around to long!

My fave breakfast during the m/s weeks: blended aboug a cup of frozen mango with grated, fresh ginger (about a tsp), soy milk and maybe a little yogurt. The ginger really helped me.

I had to get Zofran, but I lived off toast and peanut butter for months. DD seems no worse for the wear at 5 months old. My morning sickness didn't go away until week 23 or 24, no matter how many times my OBGYN promised it was just days from disappearing.

Honestly for me the only thing I could keep down were egg and cheese croissants.

Like @travelgirl1: my main strategy was to only eat foods that I could tolerate coming back up. No garlic, or spaghetti, or indian or mexican.

Things started getting much better for me in the second tri, and is mostly all gone in the third except for my daily post-waking, pre-breakfast puke.

Eat a little later in the morning if at all possible. I found if I waited until I got to work around 8 I could stomach breakfast a lot easier than if I tried to eat before leaving the house at around 7. Look up recipes like mini quiche which you can make and freeze then just reheat in the micro.

B6 really helped my nausea. Also if I could get protein in me in any way, either in the morning or throughout the day, overall I would feel better. For me this meant a LOT of eggs for a few weeks, because it was pretty much the only protein that was remotely appealing. I know eggs are tough for some in the first tri though, but maybe there is some protein you do like?

Breakfast for me for weeks was an egg or two on toast/english muffin, eaten ASAP.

Canned peaches
Applesauce
Graham crackers
English muffin with butter

I'm right there with you!

I became lactose intolerant during my first pregnancy. This time I immediately cut out any dairy except for like maybe one slice of cheese. Absolutely no milk or yogurt or else I throw up immediately. I'm still working out what to eat for breakfast. Today I'm trying a bagel with butter. It's also helpful to munch steadily instead of having like a "breakfast" meal.

Another thing that really helps me are Sea Bands. They are acupressure bands you wear on the wrist that help with nausea. They really take the edge off for me.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

I've been taking B6 in the mornings, and the few days that I did have really terrible nausea, french fries and/or chicken nuggets did the trick! I don't know if it was the grease or what, but made me feel so much better! Bad for weight gain, but good for being able to stay at work and function!

I keep cheerios next to my bed and ate a handful in the middle of the night and before i got out of bed. It helped tame the ickies in the morning. After that, I typically ate egg sandwiches. Fried eggs were amazing for me.

Other options...oatmeal? Yogurt? Maybe a smoothie?....

Ok, so I know that this is going to sound a little voodoo-ish, but, with my first I had brutal morning sickness so I was on diclectin through the whole pregnancy, and then followed that with breastfeeding meds, so I was just SO sick of taking pills by the time I got pregnant again.
Anyhow, Dr. Internet told me that MS could be caused by a B vitamin deficiency, so I decided to start eating nutritional yeast all the time. And it worked! I ate it on everything though, and who knows if it was psychosomatic or what, but i was thankful for it no matter what! :)

@SouthPaw: Hi! I am so sorry to hear that. I found if my DH made me some plain white toast or a bagel with a little bit of butter on it which I ate as soon as I woke up helped a great deal. I I wasn't just being a diva, I found it better to eat before moving around at all.

I hope it clears up for you soon. Remember its temporary, and for a great cause.

Good Luck!

Aw I'm so sorry, MS sucks! In all honesty medication was the only thing that gave me a chance of not puking, so I developed a strategy of only eating things that are easy to throw up (i had jello for breakfast for months) or tasty to throw up (raspberry nutrigrain bars were surprisingly inoffensive). Hope you feel better soon!

Hey ladies, I am 6 1/2 weeks and seriously struggling with nausea. What did you eat for breakfast? Did you have a difficult time keeping food down? Begging for suggestions... I have been eating saltines throughout the day and it's helped but in the morning I am hoping for something more substantial.
