I think it voids the carseat warranty. I guess because they car seat straps may not function properly with untested fabric in an accident? </p> <p>It wasn't worth the risk for me to just look pretty. I got the code more than a few times but I didn't invest in it because for the most part, I didn't get out that much and it was spring/summer when I was using the infant carrier car seat. By autumn, when I would have liked a little more padding to keep him warm, we had switched to a convertible car seat.
