Ihad the same as @catgirl: and liked that a lot. You can flip part of it up over baby's face on the quick run from car to building to protect their face from the cold and wind, but you wouldn't do that for several minutes in the stroller or anything. As for the canopy type, I had a minky one that I got "free" and just paid shipping (carseatcanopy.com I think, codes available all of the Internet). It was fine and good for the very cold days or if baby was sleeping in the stroller. But the Velcro on the handle made t harder to carry the seat since I couldn't get my elbow in. For the $10 or so in shipping, I guess it was worth it.

I really liked the JJ Cole shower cap style cover that @catgirl linked above.

I had this one for my winter baby. It's important to get the shower cap style one and not the the that goes in the seat behind them.

If you use a car seat cover/canopy, what kind do you have? A thin stretchy one like Milk Snob, or one of the thick minky-lined ones that snaps to the carseat handle? Do you like what you have?

After seeing that the temperature is 6 degrees F today, I feel like I should be protecting DD3 from the chilly air a bit better than I am. We aren't outside a lot, just ducking in and out of the car as we run errands/drop big sisters off at activities.

Thanks!
