Splurging for the Magic version (extra $10 ) is well worth it IMO. Bigger canopy and the boot was a lifesaver in the winter.</p> <p>ETA: weight wasn't a factor for us... We switched at 7 months when she was getting close to the height limit but nowhere near the weight. By 16 pounds though she was too heavy to lug in it. LO is only 17 lbs now and she is so heavy in the carseat. If so, don't worry. It's very, very rare for babies to get anywhere near that. It was heavy/ bulky, didn't handle that well, the seat is pretty narrow so the baby (normal in size) outgrew it pretty fast, and if the seat was reclined you couldn't get things in/out of the basket.
