I got a plain one, but hot glued some little colorful stuffed animals on it. The first 3 months or so, the mirror was for us to keep an eye on our LO. From 3months-now, the mirror keeps LO entertained. We were told in Childbirth/Parenting class that in an accident, things like mirrors become projectiles aimed right at your baby. We use it every car ride to check on her. It helps her see us too. At the stoplight, I'll reach back and put my hand over the seat and she'll reach up to hold it.
