It is a HUGE difference!<br /> I got thin JJ Cole pads/covers for the travel seat. They are "shearling" but really not bulky at all. I have a hard time believing they are unsafe. I know you aren't supposed to use any after market products like bulky padded covers, but with C I remember her neck getting red marks from the straps if I wasn't really careful. It seems like a really thin something wrapped around the straps wouldn't interfere with the safety... Like a couple of baby wash clothes wrapped around it or something. </p> <p>We have a graco snugride, did not come with strap covers. I didn't realize what a difference they make until we got a convertible that has them. </p>
