@meadow I would definitely size up, my son was wearing size 5's at that size, for sure. Also maybe try a different diaper as others have mentioned- I didn't like Huggies when he was a baby (under 1) but now the Huggies Little Movers are the only ones that work for him.

Yeah, you may need to go up a size... try it and see if it helps! Maybe it would also help to tell the teacher that dresses her, and ask if they can double-check her diaper before she walks out the door.

@meadow: My daughter weighs a couple of pounds less than yours and is the same height and I just moved her to size 5 diapers. She was peeing out at night. However, the 4s were just way too tight and it was hard to get a good fit, plus she was having contact issues where the diapers were rubbing her skin.

Also, you might want to change diapers. Swaddlers are so wide and flat at this size, she might need something a little more contoured. We really like Huggies Snug and Dry right now.

Size 4 seems ok but their chart does say size 5 starts at 27 lbs. I switched to cruisers after they started crawling so I don't have much experience with swaddlers with older toddlers. Do they seem over full? I would bet it's just the ruffles not being turned out.

@pinkb: as of January...25.5 lbs and 31.5 inches.

The ruffles thing makes sense....I would guess that the daycare teacher would be a pro if she's been doing this for years ... 20 kids at a time.....you know?

I get more leaks with stand up diaper changes. I think the little ruffles don't always get popped out which can cause leaks. So now I always run a finger around the legs and make sure the ruffles are out all the way so maybe check a few days to see if that helps.

Also we get night time leaks when he sleeps on his tummy and the pee squishes out the top... so it could be something about how she's sitting in the carseat and belts that causes the issue. If that's the case try a different brand or go up a size.

What's her weight and what size is she wearing? I would say it's either time to go up a size or the ruffles around the legs aren't all turned out on her diaper causing the leaks. I never did standing diaper changes and don't really see the point. I found it to be more of a struggle to get the diapers on correctly.

I don't know if this board makes sense but ....

In the past 7 days DD has wet her car seat on the way home from daycare 3 times. They change her about 30 min before i pick up and at home her diaper isnt overly saturated. This was never a problem before.

She started in a new room at the beggining of march that does standing diaper changes.....which i admit to being skeptical of, but her diaper looks like its on right when i get home.

Do you think this is just time to go up a size?

She does leak any other time at home or in the car.

DD is almost 22 months.

Thanks!!
