My car has those built in head rests and they can be a pain to work with if a seat has a higher shell. I used to have a Britax Frontier (which has a similar shell) in there and it was extremely difficult to get a good install. It's really hard to find a seat that will rear face over about a year. I'm torturing myself over whether to shell out or go with the norm here... You could put him in the Diono and then put LO2 in the Marathon whenever the time comes.
