Yes, this is exactly how it felt for me. Similar also to a hangover, if you are familiar with those...headachey, slightly dizzy feeling accompanied by nausea. Actually, I found that my motion sickness was much worse ...I would get it on the subway, and in the car, even when riding up front. My morning sickness is gone now, but I am still much more sensitive to motion sickness than I usually am.

@heartsnsunshine: The unisom+B6 was a life saver for me. So if it does get worse (hoping it doesn't!) you can try this. If it doesn't work, you can also try Zofran (worked well for me too). Ahhhh drugsssssss. haha

If it does get really bad (more than nausea, start to puke) I had to get a Rx for Zofran. It was a lifesaver for me, I was able to function during the days again (I was getting sick 6-8 times a day)

Bah!! I was hoping this was not the case... I was hoping I'd be a lucky one and not get it hehe....

@banana: I hope so too lol
@MamaMoose: @CarrieLouWho: @jessiejo17: Im hoping it doesnt get any worse than this.. But I'll keep those in mind ... my "first" appointment and U/S with a doctor isn't for 2.5 more weeks....but on the paper that the nurse gave me as "ok drugs" after my first intial visit listed b6 and unisom....

I'm waiting to tell my mom (and family) util after the first U/S... Or I'd just ask her help/advice... She might be suspicious if I ask her "so... when you were pregnant......" So glad I have this board to ask for advice!!

I'd rather feel car sick that nauseous and puking any day...

Welcome to pregnancy my friend : ) I felt exactly like this.

I now take a unisom/B6 combo every night that has changed my life. I'm 13 weeks now and so far if I take a night off from the meds I'm very sick the next day. But I'm hoping to feel better soon without the medication.

I had the same symptoms for morning sickness. I never felt like I was going to throw up, just motion sickness without having the motion. Mine lasted from around 6.5 weeks - 12 weeks. The best thing that worked for me was to keep food nearby (saltines or crackers are great). Also, my doctor told me to take a B6 supplement, that helps take the edge off nausea. Check w/ your doc though.
Also, I take my pre-natal at night before bed. The one time I didn't I got super sick and threw up... the only time I did that.

GOOD LUCK!

I would say you are starting to feel the joys of pregnancy, in the beginning this is what it felt like for me, usually food helped a little. I tried lemon drops, ginger ale, mint tea, anything to help settle that nausea feeling.

As I am new to the pregnancy scene... I am 6 weeks pregnant... Lately Ive been getting a "car sick feeling" ... Light headed, dizzy feeling, straining eyes....you know that feeling when you read in the car....

I just ate some food thinking it might help.....

But I'm not in the car or moving.... Is this considered the dreaded morning sickness? Is this a normal symptom? Any way to combat this? Thanks in advanced!
