Ugh, I remember feeling sick on school busses as a kid. Not fun. Telling her to look as far into the distance as possible might help, so she doesn't see stuff rushing past out the window. If she's allowed to open the bus window for fresh air, that will likely help too. Besides that, it sounds like you've got all the bases covered.

I get really motion sick in cars, but never had a problem with school buses. Maybe she'll get lucky and be ok?

Sitting up front is a good idea. Maybe tell her to look out the front windows (what the driver sees), not the sides of the bus. My car sickness can be worse when I see parked cars and road signs fly by. It always helped me to focus on what the driver is doing. Sorta pretend like she is driving the bus.

If she gets that sick that easily is anyway you can just drop her off and pick her up? I know it's a pain, but that is what my parents had to do with me growing up. Nothing worked otherwise.

My daughter gets car sick pretty easily. Every long car trip we've taken, she's thrown up. Finally we gave her Dramamine on the last trip and she was ok.

Normally this won't be an issue, because we walk to school. But this summer, she'll be taking a school bus almost every day to a new activity (museums, pools, etc.). We've gotten her Seabands, will dress her in layers (I heard that heat can cause issues) and ask to have her seated up front so she can look out the front window. I'd rather not give her Dramamine every day, plus she would probably have to take it later in the day too for the bus ride home and I'm not sure if the camp will administer medicine.

Any tips or tricks on how to manage a child's car sickness with daily bus rides?
