We travel both at night and during the day. Night is definitely easier because DD will fall asleep however because she still takes naps daytrips aren't too bad as long as we make sure she has things to keep her entertained. You might be surprised and your LO might sleep a little more than they would at home DD seems to. Also depending upon how old you LO is we often stop on daytrips at places that have playlands or a park/rest area so DD can get out and stretch her legs a little.

We always travel during the day because it's just when we need to be going somewhere, but I wish we would go at night time when she waas sleeping, so much easier!

We try to plan our trips for night so he will likely sleep. I hate him crying the whole time. If we travel during the day we try to make sure that we stop somewhere (children's museum, park) so he can run around.

We are currently on a five hour road trip to see my parents. We left at 6 and I sat in the back and fed LO dinner. We played for a bit then she took a bottle and went to sleep. Usually she will sleep the rest of the way from here.

On the way home we have to travel in the morning and I'm more nervous about it because she will have more energy.
