It was great for the 3 year old. It was non-ideal, but functional for the 15 month old. I had to make sure it was super snug to keep him from slipping down and out of it. He spent more of the flight in my arms but was in CARES for take off and landing. I truly don't know if I will bring my seat all the way on the plane on my next flight (he's almost two). I have always checked it with my other luggage, it's a cheap cosco seat. Super light but every item I carry through the airport is one more thing to worry about! It's not a 5 point harness so there is nothing between their legs to hold them in place and prevent them from sliding down.</p> <p>Also, although it sucks carrying a car seat through the airport, I love using it during the flight. We bought my infant his own seat, and planned to bring a travel car seat for the plane rides and car rides while we're there for 10 days. More and more I don't want to bring the travel seat on the plane, though it's light (the Evenflo one). I'd rather order it and have it delivered to my parents house, and keep it there for any visits. I was looking into the Cares Harness. My child will be 11 months old, 22-23lbs, and 30in, so the minimum requirements.
