I had awful carpal tunnel while pregnant. I've heard wearing wrist braces helps at night. When I would wake up in the middle of the night I would stretch my neck (ear to shoulder on both sides) to relieve some of the nerve pressure which would usually make the tingling subside a little bit.

My fingers are tingly all day, but only totally fall asleep at night. The only thing I've tried it to put a pillow next to me and lay my arm out flat so it is elevated a bit and not bent. It doesn't make it go away completely, but at least enough I can fall asleep.

Like @livsmama said, I've heard icing the area helps and wrist braces.

I had it REALLY bad, but only at night as well. I would put gel ice packs on it at night and wrap it tightly over that with an ace bandage to hold it in place. It was the only thing that helped. Mine went away like 3 weeks after she was born

ETA - I also wore a wrist brace at night with the ice packs. It was the ONLY thing that helped. It hurt so bad, I feel for you =o(

How did/do deal with carpal tunnel during pregnancy? My right hand KILLS me at night. The hand pain/tingles combined with my thigh pain means I get barely any sleep.

I am going to crack soon.

It doesn't usually bother me during the day, but is really bad when I'm trying to sleep. How do I make it better?
