I use a woven wrap in a hip carry with a slip knot so I can move her up and down, but I'm guessing a ring sling would work just as well. One of these days I'm going to save up enough to get a girasol wrap converted to a ring sling by SBP. ;)

I hear great things about the Maya wrap sling, and it's on Amazon.

I have a wrap conversion, meaning I ordered a woven wrap then sent it to Sleeping Baby Productions to be sewn into a RS. I. Guessing you want one faster than that though...try Sakura Bloom, Comfy Joey or Maya (without padding) ring slings :)

@heartonastring: what type of RS do you have? I was looking online and it seems like the most doable to breastfeed in for me.

I love my RS for hands free nursing and nursing in public. Woven wraps work too, but have more of a learning curve.

@mamawarrior: my friend nurses in the moby and the ergo all the time. I have really small boobs and just can't make it work no matter what I try. My friend is large chested, so her boob can sort of "move around" if the makes sense. Mine don't go anywhere, so I have to move baby's head, and it ends up being too awkward/uncomfortable for her

@Espion: Same here. I've nursed in an Ergo, but it's kind of difficult. Gotta loosen the straps to drop DS down and lift my boob up.

I really like wraps for nursing hands-free. I feel like I can have lots of flexibility depending on how baby wants to be held and what I need to do. I nursed Lorelei in a wrap all the time when she was small!

I even used the Ergo to nurse, it just requires some shimmying. Usually I'd have to prop up the boob with a cloth diaper or just hold it.

I can nurse in the Moby (well something similar) and a sling carrier, though I do keep one hand on the bottom whenshe's nursing in the sling.

I used the Moby wrap for nursing #2, it wasn't super comfortable but it worked! I also tried to time feedings for when my older child was also eating because he was strapped into a booster seat. It gets easier, over time my toddler got used to me needing to bf all the time and would play independently or would sit next to me and read books.

It has been challenging to nurse a newborn and chase a toddler at the same time. Anyone recommend a carrier I can use to nurse my newborn handsfree?
