at 21 weeks your uterus is only to your belly button. above your belly button is usually all the organs that have gotten displaced and in my experience the bit of "fluff" that I had on my belly before. I am carrying low but I started to show early- like 9 weeks or so- I blame the "fluff" I previously mentioned. Your body may just be accommodating your displaced organs well. This chart shows how large your uterus is at different weeks: http://www.virtualmedstudent.com/images/fundal_height.png

IDK, I think I have carried baby girl low low low all this time - and usually confirmed by the u/s techs! But I am still getting major rib and in between ribs pain now! I think I really POPPED at 27 weeks, even though I was apparent to people who knew me.

I am carrying low, and at 35 weeks, he's STILL mostly below my belly button. I'm definitely showing, but I can still wear regular bras and I haven't really felt him near my ribs or lungs, thankfully.

I didn't really start to show until around 27/28 weeks . . . my bump just looked like lower belly bloat until then. It was really easy to hide in clothing, so I wore a lot of close-fitting tops with side ruching to accentuate it (I so wanted a bump!).

@BabyBoecksMom: Too true! I carried low enough that I was never really out of breath. :) But oooooh the swelling . . . :P

That's totally normal for a bump that early! It will move up!

That sounds about normal to me. Be thankful for it, because that means he'll be farther away from your lungs later on ;-)

My little boy is hanging out quite low at 21 weeks. I have a bump that's noticeable to me but it's all beneath my belly button! I think it kinda looks like a lot of pooch rather than a bump when I'm dressed (depending on what I'm wearing). I wonder if he'll ever move up!

If you carried low, when did you start to show?
