For example, my britax has two seperate latch straps on either side. The Graco has one strap that connects both sides. So the Graco has to be REALLY tight in order for it not to slip back and forth. Since the Britax straps are shorter and not connected, I feel its easier to get them tighter. I do know the MyRide is a good seat, the Safety 1st complete air is good, &amp; alot of the techs recommend the Cosco Scenera too.</p> <p>Have you just considered taking your seat though so that the munchkin can be strapped in &amp; safe on the plane (I assume you're flying)? It's one of the seats we use in my father's minivan. I looked up the measurements and it is the exact same width,height and depth as our Britax Boulevard.</p> <p>eta: we also have a Cosco Scenera, and that seat is our airplane seat. We will only be here mayyyybe 2 times a year but we plan on having more children so it would be nice to only have to travel with one in the future. Can anyone recommend and good cheap carseat? </p>
