I don’t know how many other car seats do this, but the Graco Contender adjusts height with one click. So easy.

I like Graco for these purposes. I have one as a primary seat, and it's great.

If it were for a situation where the seat needs to be uninstalled and installed regularly, I would get a Britax with ClickTight.

I would get a Graco contender or Graco Mysize/size4me. They are relatively inexpensive, especially if you do the Target trade-in event that's going right now. Easy to install and will fit basically any height child up to 40lbs. rear facing, and then good to 65lbs. forward facing. So they'll be good until the booster stage. The no rethread harness is great for dealing with multiple kiddos.

The cosco scenera is a great inexpensive seat, but I find it hard to install at the right angle, has a threaded harness and is outgrown completely at 40lbs. Meaning they'll likely need to buy a convertible seat later vs. just a booster.

I have the cosco as a secondary seat and it's a nightmare to install and adjust. The Graco clones are easy to install and adjust from kid to kid. I think the one we ended up with is the GrowWithMe or something like that but a bunch of them are basically the same.

If three kids will ride in it I might spend more money to have an easier install and easier (no thread) adjustments to fit each kid. I like my cosco for travel but I don’t think it’s as easy to install as some nicer seats. For grandparents id want installation to be as easy as possible.

You could look at a cosco scenera next. It's very basic, fits in practically every car, and is only $40. It's outgrown forward facing before rear facing so it is realistically a rear facing only seat. It's limits are 40 pounds, 40 inches, or one inch below the shell. It will rear face most kids to 3-4.

A graco contender is another good option that would work a bit better if any kids are tall. It will rear face almost all kids to 40 pounds regardless of height. And can be used for quite awhile forward facing. It can generally be found for around $100

I bought I think what was considered a "travel" carseat for my mom's car. Super cheap, very safe, great reviews on Amazon and wasn't more than $50. Not sure what brand. No bells and whistles like a cup holder but for the 15 minutes he's in her car it never mattered.

My parents have two car seats, and I don’t remember what brand the first is, but the second is just a basic Cosco seat. It’s both cheap and lightweight. We bought it for a trip, then gave it to them after we got back.

My parents got their first 3 grandkids within 7 months last year. We're all finally past sharing a infant carseat base when they drive any of the kids around, so I'm looking for recommendations for a RF carseat.

Our wishlist is something light and very easy to install, and hopefully cheap. This isn't an everyday use situation for any of the kiddos, and probably wouldn't be a long car ride situation either. Width isn't important (would be the only seat installed in a Murano).

Any recs, bees? Thanks in advance!
