We have the mysize 65 and love it. At 2 she is still RF and it started to get a little tight behind the drivers seat. We got a new car and it fits great. (The new car wasn't because of the carseat. It was for more space in general. Lol) I can't recommend this seat enough though. I plan on buying another one soonish for DS when he is big enough. (Or, you know, born.)

What kind of car do you drive and where is the rear-facing seat located?

The seat we have is the Graco MyRide 65. It's bulky from front to back (it's one of the more reclined seats), but since my husband and I are 5'6" and 5'5" respectively, it's not an issue. The seat is installed rear-facing behind the passenger seat and my legs are only a little cramped. We drive a Nissan Versa.

I hear that Diono's are good seats and can be installed more upright rear-facing with the angle adjuster. The Graco Clones (MySize/Size4me/Fit4me) might also be decent long-lasting contenders. Expiration dates are very important though, you won't want to ignore them. All of these have long-lasting expiration dates.

We have the Graco MySize 65 - it has one of the highest heights for rear-facing, which is one of the reasons we got it.

I think kids carseats are a racket especially expiration dates

Since we have a giant baby I don't see the baby seat lasting for very long
With our older son all our convertible seats expired so I'm researching
Do you have one you love?
My requirements are..less than $250... and needs to not be too bulky as my husband is 6'5" so leg room is important
