On the way there we left after work so she slept the whole way. We tried to time the return trip during her nap, but that didn't work and it was a NIGHTMARE! We had new toys, books, music, light-y toys, singing toys, everything... Finally, she calmed down and played with our plastic fast food soda and coffee lids for 45 minutes! So, I would suggest something new and totally different! Haha. That would serve the same purpose as the Fisher Price dog too (they're similar). I basically keep a bag on the floor of the backseat and just keep surprising her with things. What about new toys to show him that day? Does he like nomming on little people? shredding things? flipping pages? cuddling toys? you could branch off of his current favorites and find a new/similar toy to surprise him with that day.</p> <p>ETA - O loves to read catalogs. LOVES them. Maybe start saving catalogs? Like screams bloody murder the second he gets in. I put the fisher price puppy in the car with him and it definitely helps/entertains him. It's the one where you grab it's ear, hand or foot and it sings and stuff. He still hate the car but this holds off his tantrum. Ugh. </p> <p>SO this time we'll be attempting during the day. We have a take along tunes, will be bringing lots of books... anything else I should think of?? Dreading this drive and it's more than a month away! </p>
