DS doesn't love it, but he puts up with it. It helps that he has DD to look at, and he also spends a lot of time staring out the window. You're supposed to do it when their head is an inch from the top of the shell. Which means we need to do it very soon. She hated her carseat from months 10-18... Hated! We moved from NYC (no car) to LA (going everywhere in a car), and I still didn't turn her because I knew turning her wasn't as safe AND it wasn't going to magically fix things anyway.</p> <p>She fought going in it a lot the first month. But things became more routine and she fought less and less. She loves her carseat now. I think it was because she couldn't see us or communicate with us. I know 2 yo is the recommendation, but curious about how strictly people follow that. My 13 month old hates the car and cries during each ride. We are considering facing her forward, since she has met the minimum height/weight. I'm nervous about it, though! </p>
