I would just like to say that I second Bitter Apple spray! Although at our pet store the cat version of Bitter Apple is only sold in like a stick form, and you litterally have to rub it on each cord. But there is a dog version of Bitter Apple that is sold as a spray (way easier!) I asked a worker and they said they are both the exact same thing!

The spray is called Bitter Apple. You can get it at Petco or Petsmart. Yes to the two sided tape thing too. They dont like the sticky texture so you can apply this method to any surface to deture clawing or chewing etc...

I wish you the best of luck. As far as allergies I would maybe talk to a doc to see why its suddenly worse now.

My DH and I have our own set of cat/baby related issues so I feel your pain. As for your allergies, not sure there is a lot you can do other than perhaps taking medication, keeping the floor vaccumed religiously and maybe grooming the cat so that hair/dander isn't as much of an issue?

As for the electrical cords. I think they sell a spray you can put on things that make them taste awful to the animal. You can buy it at a local pet store I'm sure. I've also heard of wrapping two-sided tape to the cords b/c it quickly makes the activity of chewing not fun for the cat. It's kind of a hassle for you but if you get the cat to associate that activity with something not-pleasant then they should hopefully stop. Hopefully this helps even a littl! Good luck : )

Before having a baby, I was a tiny bit allergic to our precious cat, Daisy. It was manageable and I could deal with it. Now my nose runs like a faucet, and my eyes are itchy and watery. She lives in the main area of the house, and that is where I get the flare-ups. She isn't allowed in the other areas of the house, and I seem to be fine in the other areas.

She also has a bad habit of chewing up electrical cords despite having playtime and plenty of toys to keep her occupied. My husband and I are worried about this as it is a safety hazard for all of us.

I would very much appreciate tips to combat both of these issues if possible! Thank you all in advance!
