I also have a strong letdown, so I [try to] use the Milkies milk saver. D pops off at letdown, so I use the Milkie to catch it, then stuff it in the other side to catch what leaks it of there. On a couple occasions, I've gotten close to an ounce!

You can get some milk savers to wear. If you pump, you can mix it in with other milk to hopefully solve the foremilk issue. That is what I do.

I used to do that. My ds was ebf, though, and I never actually got to the point where I had to prepare a bottle for him. I did use it, occasionally, to get used to a sippy cup. I also used it to mix with his baby food. I was worried about the hind milk issue, too, which is why I just used it for other things.

My letdown is really strong so I normally let it go in a burp cloth first because DS won't stay latched when it is spraying so hard. What if I caught it in a bottle ? I feel so wasteful letting it go in a rag. Could I just keep the bottle in the fridge and take it out at each feeding for the day to collect let down ?

My biggest concern is that it wouldn't contain any hind milk . Has anyone else done this before or is it more trouble than its worth ?
